Parks Highway Crash Leaves Two Dead, Five Injured

E-mail

Automobile crashes always involve danger and risk to anyone involved, but certain crashes seem to lead to more disastrous results than others for some reason.  Tragically, such a crash occurred recently near Cantwell on Parks Highway where two people were killed and five more were seriously injured in a two-car crash.  Investigators arrived on the scene quickly and the injured were transported to a nearby hospital, but it was too late to save the lives of two people.

According to the Anchorage Daily News:

"Two people are dead and five others injured following a multi-vehicle collision this afternoon near Cantwell along the Parks Highway, according to state officials.

The crash involved a Hyundai Sonata and a GMC truck on the Parks Highway just north of Hurricane Gulch about 1:30 p.m., according to Alaska State Troopers.

Two of four people inside the Hyundai were killed in the wreck, and the other two were flown to hospitals with serious injuries, according to troopers. They have not been identified pending notification of their families, troopers spokeswoman Beth Ipsen said."

Details regarding how the crash occurred were not available.  This could mean that police are not yet sure about what could have led to such a terrible accident.  If you or someone you love has been harmed in this sort of a collision, you need the help of Alaska personal injury lawyers who have years of experience in sorting through complicated evidentiary situations and holding those responsible for harm and loss accountable.  Contact Barber & Sims today to schedule a free initial consultation.
