According to the Anchorage Daily News:
"A 57-year-old man suffered severe burns to his face when a paint can exploded in an incinerator at the Trident Seafoods processing plant in Akutan Sunday, the Coast Guard said.
The Coast Guard launched an HH-65 Dolphin helicopter from Cold Bay to get him.
The man, who was not immediately named, suffered second- and third-degree burns."
Burns of that degree can result in long-term suffering, as it's possible that the man will need painful, invasive and corrective surgery to replace the charred tissue that remains on his face. This could be a situation where the man is entitled to worker's compensation benefits and/or have the option of filing a personal injury claim depending on certain circumstances that surround his everyday duties and the overall norms of the job.
